Senior Cloud Security Engineer

A leading veterinary appointment scheduling software company is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their talented team.

What you can do for us

• Conduct security risk assessments, implement and maintain security controls to protect our cloud infrastructure.
• Propose new solutions/methods, Implement such methods and maintain cloud
• infrastructure security.
• Monitor and investigate abnormal activity in the cloud infrastructure.
• Guide team members to grow their skills and experience.
• Be in the loop about the latest security threats and mitigate the risk posed

Qualifications and experience you need to have

• Excellent understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, services, and networking.
• Good understanding of functional and logical security flaws of cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in using open source and proprietary security tools.
• Good knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps concepts.
• Competency in security and Unix-based system administration skills.
• Good understanding of scripting languages.
• Prior experience in a security role will be a plus but not essential.
• Team player with a passion for cybersecurity.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field / Higher Diploma + relevant security certifications.
• Foundational, Associate, Professional or Specialty AWS certifications will be a plus.
• Security certification similar to SSCP, CEH, OSCP or CISA will be a plus.
