A global innovation company focused on business growth through disruptive technologies is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their growing team.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, network connectivity and system configurations.
- Respond to incoming support requests via email, phone or in-person and ensure timely resolutions of incidents and service requests within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Install, configure and maintain computer systems, peripherals and software applications.
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement solutions to recurring issues, and provide suggestions for process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities, incidents and resolutions using ticketing systems.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastucture including servers, network equipments and telecommunication systems.
- Conduct regular system audits and implement proactive measures to ensure security, integrity and availability of IT resources.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on basic software and hardware usage, best practices and security protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in IT support and proactively share knowledge with the team.
- Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to resolve technical issues and coordinate equipment repairs and replacements when necessary.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field. Relevany certifications (E.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) would be advantageous.
- Proven 1+ years of work experience as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role.
- Prior experience in working and supporting Microsoft Office 365 product suite.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of server administration, Active Directory and group policy management.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages would be beneficial.
